Addison's Story
A compassionate young woman reached out to Orange Street Cats (OSC) with an urgent plea to help a little kitten. The kitten’s eyes were glued shut due to infection. OSC volunteers promptly picked up the kitten, administering warm compresses, ointment, fluids, and nourishing food. Already, the sweet little one, whom we’ve named Addison, shows signs of improvement. Tomorrow, we’ll schedule a vet appointment and continue providing plenty of tender loving care.

Little Belle had a rough start in life, and it was touch and go for her first few weeks. But today, thanks to exceptional medical care and round-the-clock nourishment, Belle is blossoming! She devours her meals like a healthy kitten, her weight steadily climbing. And just this week, she graduated from the life-saving incubator and is ready to join her rowdy brothers -- a testament to her resilience! Belle is here and thriving because of the amazing and caring community of Orange Street Cats supporters!

Seven-week-old Blue seemed fine yesterday morning, and then suddenly she was lethargic, trembling and had a fever. Suzanne, her foster mom, wasted no time getting her to the recently-added Urgent Care Unit of Upstate Veterinary Specialties (UVS) for testing and treatment. This morning Blue is back with her foster family and seems much better. She continues to receive fluids and medication.
Kittens are cute but they are also incredibly fragile. Their health can take a sudden turn. Thanks to you and Orange Street Cats (OSC) supporters, we are prepared to get them the urgent medical care they need.
Your generosity ensures that we remain ready to respond to illnesses and injuries, to give kittens like Blue their best chance. Thank you for your compassion and for being a part of our life-saving mission. Together, we make a difference.

We interrupt our kitten season fund drive to request your help for a seriously injured cat.
A good Samaritan rushed this this sweet girl to the emergency vet this afternoon with a scalp injury too graphic to post. Would OSC help? We said yes, but we can't do it alone. We are calling on you and our incredible community of OSC supporters to ask that, if you can, please make a donation today.
We named this nice girl Hannah, and she’s at the vet right now having that large, horrible scalp wound cleaned and closed. The estimate is $1,600, and the amazing news is that we have a generous benefactor who has pledged to match donations up to $500, DOUBLING the impact of your donation! We don’t know how this injury happened, but we do know that Hannah is now safe and getting the medical care she needs.
Thank you for caring about the kittens and being willing to help save cats in need of critical care, like Hannah. Your donations make a lasting difference. Together we can save lives.

Where did these little guys come from?
A compassionate woman discovered four tiny kittens in need.
She patiently waited for their mother to return, but when it became clear that
the little ones required nourishment, she reached out to Orange Street
Cats for assistance. Our dedicated volunteers sprang into action,
rescuing the kittens promptly, gently warming them, and providing nourishment.
Among the four, two struggled—weak and having difficulty latching. Concerned for their well-being, we took them to Central Veterinary Hospital first thing. Thankfully, Kendra, one of the skilled vet techs, stepped in, offering round-the-clock care by taking the two kittens, (Belle and Weston pictured above),into her own home. Today, they are back in our foster care, eating better and growing stronger.
Kitten season is here, and your donation is a lifeline for these precious lives. Our ambitious goal is to raise $15,000, and the good news is that a generous benefactor has pledged to match all donations (up to $5,000), effectively doubling your impact!
OSC Supporters, your kindness and unwavering commitment create miracles. Together, we’re an unstoppable force! Thank you for being part of this compassionate journey.

Please Help Save Newborn Kittens! (4/24)

Our incredible foster mom, skilled with newborn kittens and compassionate, has stepped forward to care for these tiny lives. Today, we'll be heading out to pick up these little ones, making sure they are comfortable and loved from the moment they come into our care.
Kitten season is here, and we need your help! We are reaching out to ask that you please consider making a donation today. Our goal is to raise $15,000, and we have wonderful news to share. Last year, your unwavering support saved 83 kittens. Because of you, they received essential medical care—vaccinations, testing, treatments, spay/neuter surgeries, and microchipping. Some required extraordinary critical care and hospitalization.
This year, we’re determined to keep saving cats and kittens, especially those who are found outside, all alone. Your generous donation ensures they receive the medical care, love, attention, and nurturing they need to thrive.
Please join us! We believe in the power of our community and the mission of Orange Street Cats. Your kindness and steadfast support will make a difference. Let’s save as many cats and kittens as we can—because together, we’re unstoppable! Thank you!
