Giving Cats and Kittens Their Best Chance

All cats and kittens deserve a chance at a happy life in a loving home. You, our Orange Street Cats (OSC) family, have been making that happen every week, all year long, for 12 years now! Our goal is $30,000, and your donations will help the cats and kittens receive all they need to be healthy and ready for their forever families. And, as a bonus, the first $10,000 in donations will be matched by a generous benefactor, so your gift goes twice as far!

So far this year, 156 cats and kittens are safe and warm because of your help! Many came to us sick or injured; some required surgeries and extraordinary medical treatments. Through it all, you and other OSC supporters were there, and that has made all the difference!

And you know it’s not easy! The ripple effect of limited access to veterinary care and low cost spay/neuter options over the past few years continues, which means there’s still a flood of kittens in need of rescue. This year we also saw a significant number of older cats needing homes because their person could no longer care for them.

Every cat and kitten that comes to OSC receives routine medical care prior to adoption, including:

• Vaccinations
• Testing for FIV, FeLV and Feline Heartworm
• Treatment for Parasites
• Microchip
• Spay/Neuter surgery
• And many require surgery and ongoing treatment for illnesses and/or injuries

We have exciting plans for the new year to continue to build educational resources that help keep cats in homes – that includes formalizing our kitty coaching efforts; refining our foster care process; overhauling our website; and welcoming more people who wish to join OSC’s next generation!
