Last year OSC had 192 cats and kittens in our programs and devoted almost 90% of the funds we raised to the most critical components of their care: $148,000 on veterinary care and $29,000 for food & supplies. Of the amount spent on veterinary costs, nearly $90,000 was spent on the kinds of “extraordinary” care (e.g., emergency, specialty or expensive procedures) that make OSC unique. Here’s a breakdown of these veterinary expenses for our cats and kittens:

• 104 cats had total costs of $250 or less.
• Fifty-one cats had total costs between $251 and $1,000.
• Twenty-six cats had total costs between $1,001 and $3,000.
• Eleven cats had total veterinary costs of more than $3,000.

The Orange Circle helps us plan for routine expenses and stay prepared for emergencies. Last year the members raised approximately $19,000, which represents almost 10% of total donations last year with an average $1,570 per month. You can help grow the Orange Circle by joining today!
